Trading Firm Office

Transformed two separate office units into a unified, high-performance headquarters for a growing trading firm. The project involved a complete gut renovation and structural merging to create a seamless, open-plan environment. The design prioritizes industrial aesthetics—utilizing raw textures and open ceilings.

Challenge

The primary hurdle was maximizing occupancy without sacrificing individual comfort or ergonomics. We had to integrate heavy technical requirements—specifically multi-screen setups for every trader—within a restricted floor plan. Additionally, the space needed to house full-scale amenities, including two bathrooms and a dedicated break room, all while transitioning from a fragmented layout to a cohesive, wide-open "trading floor" feel.

Solution

I implemented a strategic layout that utilized custom-sized workstations designed for high-density hardware integration. To achieve the industrial atmosphere, we exposed structural elements and used a palette of metal, reclaimed wood, and concrete finishes. The floor plan was zoned to separate the high-energy trading area from the "recharge" zones (the break room and restrooms), ensuring that the cozy, hospitable vibe didn't interfere with the focus required for work.

Results

The final result is a high-capacity, "plug-and-play" office that successfully accommodates the maximum headcount requested. Despite the high density of people and technology, the office feels spacious and inviting rather than cramped. The firm now operates in a branded, modern environment that balances the intensity of the market with a warm, "cozy industrial" interior that aids in employee retention and daily comfort.
